Walking by Faith
In God's Covenant Grace

Walking by Faith in God's Covenant Grace means trusting in God's unchanging promises and relying on His abundant grace every day. Even when the path ahead is uncertain, we can move forward with confidence, knowing that God is faithful to His covenant and will never leave nor forsake His people.

His grace strengthens us in times of weakness, guides us through challenges, and helps us grow spiritually. By keeping our eyes on Christ and not on our circumstances, we learn to live by faith, experience His peace, and rejoice in the assurance that His love endures forever.

About Whitefield
Methodist Church

Whitefield Methodist Church stands as a spiritual healing agent to the society in its locality — inviting seekers to worship God and caring for the suffering through prayer and the proclamation of God's love that brings peace.

A unit of The Methodist Church in India under the Bangalore Regional Conference, we welcome both Tamil and English-speaking congregations. You are warmly invited to worship with us and be a part of our church family.

Methodism — The Second Reformation

John Wesley strived to find the practical way of godly living in accordance with the Scriptures — and found it. People of his time found Wesley deeply relevant, and the Methodist Church emerged from that encounter. He experienced Christ and His Spirit, and summarized everything in the motto 'Holy living, Gospel ministry.' Through Wesley, both rich and poor found their purpose in Christ, and discipleship broke out in exponential measure — the Second Reformation of the world.

Mission: To be a good steward of God-given resources for building His kingdom inside and outside WMC.

  • Process document-driven decisions — no exceptions
  • Effective communication of finance needs and status to the congregation
  • Accounting managed by a team, not a single person — building succession

Mission: Collate, organise, and disseminate data so the Church runs smoothly and believers grow in the Lord.

  • Identify internal talent to upgrade and maintain the Church website
  • Make the website more informative, current, and externally focused
  • Reduce follow-up friction through sound IT infrastructure

Mission: Make every visitor feel welcomed and encourage every worshipper to join the WMC family.

  • Hand-hold every newcomer until they are settled in an area fellowship
  • Manage sacraments — Baptism, Confirmation, Membership courses
  • Maintain comprehensive database of worshippers and visitors
  • Introduce a welcome kit for first-time visitors

Mission: WMC is committed to mission locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally — Acts 1:8.

  • Make every fellowship and wing of WMC mission-minded
  • Special outreach to nearby colleges, IT communities, and campuses
  • Raise prayer and financial support for missionaries
  • Use the full Christmas season for outreach

Mission: Using voice, music, and media to glorify God and build His kingdom.

  • Identify music and media talent across all fellowships
  • Monthly planning for music support across all services
  • Voice training, choir practice, and Tamil choir development
  • Media team formation — video, audio recording, and livestream

Mission: Constant dependence on God's infinite resources — making Prayer the very foundation of WMC.

  • Monthly prayer meeting every 2nd and 4th Sunday morning
  • First Friday fasting prayer — with half-night extension once a quarter
  • Prayer warrior team to receive and share prayer requests 24/7
  • Area-wise prayer cells for men and women

Mission: Maintain, upgrade, and acquire properties that serve the ministerial needs of WMC.

  • Maintain existing property for best use at all times
  • Upgrade facilities to meet changing congregational needs
  • Long-term plan for parking, parsonage, and building expansion

Mission: Enable growth in Christ through the Word — Information for Transformation.

  • Proclaim God's Word through literature and print
  • Operationalise the Resource Centre — Phase 1
  • Printing and supply of song books, welcome cards, and calendars
  • Publish study material for Tamil area fellowships

Mission: Care for the needy inside and outside WMC — being relevant to the local community.

  • Financial aid to the poor and needy — education, medical, job support
  • Basic education for underprivileged children in the neighbourhood
  • Visiting the sick at home and in hospital, with prayer
  • Emergency support and basic health awareness for the poor

Mission: Completely support all Sunday services and special events, coordinating with the Pastor for a seamless, meaningful experience.

  • Plan every minute of the service in coordination with all departments
  • Finalise service details by Friday; freeze by Saturday noon
  • Welcome newcomers and connect them with the Membership team
  • Monitor cleanliness of the entire church and surroundings
