Est. 1856 · A Diocese of the Methodist Church in India

One Cross.
One Flame.
One Connexion.

For seven generations, the Diocese of Coromandel has carried the Gospel through classroom and clinic, chapel and charity — binding city and village into a single household of faith.

The Rt. Revd. [Bishop's Name]

Bishop, Diocese of Coromandel

A Word From the Bishop

“Methodism in this Diocese has never been a building or a name — it has been a people held together, district to district, by a single connexion of grace.”

Whether you are seeking a church home, returning after years away, or simply curious about what we believe, you are welcome here. Our circuits span busy city parishes and quiet village societies alike, but every one of them gathers around the same table, the same Word, and the same flame.

— Office of the Bishop, Diocese of Coromandel

How We Are Organised

The Connexion

John Wesley spelled it with an x on purpose — a "connexion" of societies bound together, not a chain of branches managed from above. The Diocese sits at the centre of that network: four Districts, each gathering a cluster of Circuits, each Circuit a fellowship of Local Churches.
